Hey everyone,
It’s been another amazing year of drawing!
If you’ve attended one of our in-person meetups in New York, thank you so much for being a part of our community!
This newsletter includes an overview of our final events of the year, including our first-ever Share-Your-Sketchbook Christmas Party!
If you’re outside NYC and feeling FOMO, fear not! We will host more in-person and virtual events in 2025, so there will be plenty of other chances to cross paths.
With that said, let’s get into it!
Upcoming Events:
1.) First up, there are two more sessions of Introduction to Urban Sketching, which is a great place to start if you’re new to the craft and local to the city.
The first is this Saturday, December 14 and the second is a week later on December 21. Materials are provided so attendees can simply come as they are.

2.) Following class on Saturday, we have another free, open meetup inside the main atrium of Brookfield Place starting at 3 PM.
This location offers a mix of everything: restaurants, bars, cafés, crowds of people, palm trees, Christmas decorations, views of an outdoor ice rink by the river, and best of all, Santa Claus!
That’s right–for at least one hour of our meetup, Santa will be offering photos for kids in the main atrium. It might be a fun tradition to include in your sketch!
We will go until 5 PM, so feel free to join us when you can.
3.) A few days afterward, on Tuesday, December 17, we are hosting our first-ever Share-Your-Sketchbook Christmas Party!
This event is a perfect way to meet other artists, share your favorite drawings of the year, and discuss your goals for 2025.
If you’re completely new to the craft, you’re still welcome to join us!
The details:
Who: Artists of all skill levels 21+
What: Meet + Greet with fellow NYC Artists
Where: Von Bar at 3 Bleecker Street
When: Tuesday December 17, 2024 from 6:00-8:30 PM
How to Prepare: Bring a sketchbook or a few drawings you’d like to share with others! It’s a great way to meet other people.
Please note space is limited to RSVP today!
Cost: This is a free event.
